***Due to the blizzard that hit the region last week, Torrington Livestock 
Commission Co. postponed the bred cow special and all class sale from Friday, 
April 12 to Monday, April 15, 2019. Also, the Wednesday feeder cattle sales will 
be held every other week now until further notice***. 

 At Riverton Livestock, compared to last week, feeder steers and feeder heifers 
were not well tested; slaughter cows 2.00-6.00 higher, slaughter bulls steady to 
4.00 higher, and feeder cows firm. Demand moderate to good.  Bred cows pre-
tested for age, pregnancy, bangs vaccination, mostly all in 3rd trimester, and 
all sold per head.  Nebraska feedlot trade this week 1.00-2.00 higher live at 
127.00-128.00 and steady dressed at 205.00-206.00. Of the total receipts feeder 
cattle accounted for 100 head with 36 percent steers, 64 percent heifers, with 
40 percent over 600 lbs.

   Feeder Cows: Medium-Large 1 Heifers 615-945 lbs 111.00-131.00; Heiferettes 
890-1150 lbs mostly 89.00-109.00; Young 830-1175 lbs 61.00-77.00; Middle Aged  
1395-1530 lbs 53.00-57.50; Aged 1185 lbs 52.00.
  
   Bred Cows: Medium-Large 1990-1230 lbs mostly 1600.00-1635.00, few 1275.00-
1500.00; Young 900-1380 lbs 1450.00-1600.00; Middle Aged 1300-1585 lbs 950.00-
1000.00; Aged short term 1045-1365 lbs 800.00-1010.00, all per head.

   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium-Large 1 Aged short term 1125-1155 lb cows with 60-100 
lb calves 1000.00-1050.00, all per pair.

   Baby Calves (per head) 60 lbs 150.00; 95-185 lbs 275.00-325.00.
